NDSCS Hires Sarno as Next Soccer Head Coach
NDSCS Athletic Director Reggie Jackson has announced that Eric Sarno has been hired to be the next Head Coach of the Wildcats Soccer program.
Sarno has had an extensive background coaching soccer at multiple levels around the world.
"I'm grateful for the opportunity from Director of Athletics Reggie Jackson for the privilege to take over the North Dakota State College of Science Women's soccer program. My focus will be developing and mentoring young women who strive to excel in the classroom, field, and community. The success within the athletic department is evident at NDSCS, and I'm honored to join the Wildcats!" - Eric Sarno
Sarno has had head coaching experience at Hesston College (2023-25), Mountain Range High School (CO) (2014-16), and Grand Valley High School (CO) (2012-13). Sarno has also held assistant coaching positions at Sundawana FC (Africa) and Hesston College. Sarno has coached seven All-Conference players in the 2023 and 2024 seasons including the first ever NCAA D1 recruit in Kira Kumada (SIUE) at Hesston. At Grand Valley, Sarno led the team to a 22-9-1 record over two years which included the first 3A state playoff apperance and win.
Coach Sarno holds a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Administration from Fort Lewis College.
NDSCS is coming off their inaugural season this past year where they went 1-7-1.
