Westling Earns National Honors
NDSCS Sophomore center Maggie Westling was named the NJCAA D1 National Player of the Week. Maggie averaged 34.5 PPG and 19.5 RPG in their two games against Miles CC and Dakota College at Bottineau (both wins) while shooting 65% from the floor.
In addition to National Player of the Week, Maggie was also awarded the Mon-Dak Player of the Week.
The Mon-Dak women's basketball player of the week is Maggie Westling a 5'10" sophomore center from North Dakota State College of Science. During a conference win over Miles Community College she reached a career high scoring 41 points and tied a personal best in rebounds with 22. For the week the Wildcats were 2-0 in the Mon-Dak conference and she shot 65% from the field scoring 69 points, had 39 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal, and 4 blocked shots. Maggie is from Milaca, Minnesota and she attended Milaca High School.
