NDSCS Softball Stays Hot
#1 Wildcats on 11 Game Winning Streak
NDSCS Softball has continued their winning ways throughout the 2026 season with a current record of 41-6 (12-2 Mon-Dak) and they've held the #1 ranking in NJCAA DIII Softball throughout the entirety of this season.
This season at the plate, the Wildcats have scored the second most runs in the nation (393), are second in total RBIs (319), first in walks (170), third in total hits (411), third in home runs (27), and first in stolen bases (188).
On the mound, the Wildcats have the fifth best ERA (2.8), second in strikeouts (266), and second in WHIP (1.22).
Individually, Heeley Taylor has been one of the top hitters with a .407 batting average. Izzi Parsons leads the team with 45 runs scored, 51 stolen bases (top in the nation), and 48 hits. Rayelle Cooley has 42 hits, 29 RBIs, 26 walks, and 18 extra base hits. Jessi Mathews has 34 RBIs and has 17 extra base hits on the year including 12 doubles and five home runs. Blythe Proulx leads the team with 12 home runs (top in the nation) and 40 RBIs.
The pitching has been led by Sophomores Heeley Taylor and Ella Stewart. Freshman Naomi McKay has been solid throughout the year as well with a 10-1 record and a 2.66 ERA. Taylor holds a 13-1 record with a 2.86 ERA while Stewart is 13-4 with a 2.98 ERA. Stewart leads the team with 103 strikeouts to only 14 walks and a 1.18 WHIP. McKay has given up only 26 earned runs in 68.1 innings pitched and only 62 hits.
NDSCS will travel to Devils Lake tomorrow to face Lake Region and they'll be at home this weekend for a four game series, and season finale, against Miles CC.
