Wildcats Look to Finish the Season Unbeaten
The NDSCS Wildcats will play host to the Rochester CTC Yellowjackets on Satuday at 1:30 PM at Minn-Kota Ag Field. NDSCS comes in with a 7-0 record and a #1 ranking in the latest NJCAA DIII Football rankings. Rochester has a 6-1 record and a #3 NJCAA DIII Football ranking. Both teams are 5-0 in the MCAC.
The Wildcats offense is led by Jacob Mattick who has 14 touchdowns to two interceptions on the year. Michael Douglas Jr leads the nation in rushing yards (653 yards), rushing yards per game (93.3 yds/game), and is tied with teammate Tellise Clark Jr with seven rushing touchdowns each. Trevon Rodriguez is tied for the most receiving touchdowns in the nation with eight on the year and is also fourth in the nation in receiving yards per game with 60.1. Ishmael Emmanuel-Holloway is tied for second in the nation with seven receiving touchdowns. Kicker Ryndon Olsen has connected on 40/43 extra points (93%) and is 2/3 on field goals. As a team, the Wildcats lead the nation with 46.3 PPG.
Connor Perkins leads the defense with three interceptions on the year. The Wildcats defense is holding opponents to 11 PPG and are only giving up 33 rushing yards/game both which are tops in the nation.
