Wildcats Dominate on Homecoming
49 Points in the First Quarter Leads Wildcats to a 71-6 Win
The Wildcats had their annual homecoming game this past Saturday where they hosted Minnesota North College-Vermillion.
The Wildcats stuffed the stat sheet with nine different players getting in the endzone. Through the air, Jacob Mattick went 3-5 for 139 yards and two touchdowns, Jaden Griffin went 4-5 for 54 yards and two touchdowns, and Boone Roemeling went 3-6 for 44 yards. The rushing was led by Michael Douglas Jr who had 63 yards and two scores on seven attempts. Kenyon Slaughter-Keen, Damarion Semanko, and Tellise Clark Jr each had rushing touchdowns as well. Trevon Rodriguez hauled in three receptions for 139 yards and two touchdowns while Ishmael Emmanuel-Holloway had three receptions for 51 yards and two touchdowns as well. Ryndon Olsen went 1/2 on field goals and 8/8 on extra points.
Defensively, NDSCS played strong defense throughout holding Vermillion to just six total points. Dylon Doren led the way with seven total tackles along with a forced fumble. Paul Kershaw had four tackles and an 88 yard fumble recovery. Terrell Renne and Gus Strommen each had a fumble recovered as well. Connor Perkins had two interceptions while Edward Banks and Daemond Gibbons had an interception each.
The Wildcats travel to Brainerd on Saturday to take on Central Lakes.
