Basketball Playing for Region XIII Titles

This Sunday, both NDSCS basketball programs will be playing for the Region XIII Championship.  The men are looking for their 25th Region XIII Championship and the women are looking for their 13th (fifth straight) Region XIII Championship.

The women will travel to Williston State who is 30-1 on the season and ranked #21 in the nation.  The Wildcats have struggled against the Tetons this year going 0-3 in their previous matchups this season.  The Wildcats enter the game with a 23-5 record.  The Wildcats defeated Lake Region in the semi-finals by a score of 91-79 while the Tetons defeated Miles CC by a score of 93-60 to set up the fourth matchup between the teams for the Championship.  The game will be at 2 PM from The Well on the campus of Williston State College.

The men will host Dawson CC who is 23-8 on the year.  The Wildcats and Buccaneers are 1-1 against each other with the Wildcats winning at home on February 8 by a score of 89-85.  The Wildcats beat Miles CC in the semi-finals by a score of 89-77.  Dawson took care of Williston 109-66 in Glendive in their semi-final matchup.  The game will be held at the BAC in Wahpeton with the tip-off set for 3 PM.  The game can be streamed on the NDSCS Athletics YouTube page.
