NDSCS to Host Double Header on Wednesday
The NDSCS Wildcats' Basketball teams concluded their regular season last week and open up their playoff season this Wednesday.
The Wildcats Women's Basketball team finished the season with a 22-5 record (9-3 Mon-Dak) which was good enough for second place in the Mon-Dak this season. The Wildcats were led by Maggie Westling (21.2 PPG, 13.5 RPG fourth best in the nation in both categories), Lolo Carlow (14.8 PPG), Ava Boyes (12 PPG, 6.6 RPG), Peyton Gette (7.5 PPG, 3.6 APG), and Ezrah Baker (5.8 PPG, 5.6 RPG). The Wildcats had an 11-1 record at home this year. NDSCS WBB will be hosting Lake Region State College on Wednesday at 5:30 PM in the #2 VS. #3 matchup. NDSCS won both previous meetings this year by scores of 73-59 and 78-64.
The Wildcats Men's Basketball team finished with a 25-5 record (10-2 Mon-Dak) earning them the #1 seed for the playoffs. The Wildcats were led by Cham Okey (20 PPG, 8.2 RPG), Jikany Deang (17.3 PPG, 8.7 RPG), Luke Christensen (12.2 PPG, 6.5 RPG), John Angau (12.4 PPG), and Nidas Paulauskas (11 PPG, 4.7 APG). The Wildcats had a perfect 12-0 record at home this season. NDSCS will take on Miles Community College where they beat them 77-75 in Miles City and 83-68 in Wahpeton earlier this year. The game will take place after the women's game which will be approximately 7:30 PM.
