NDSCS Volleyball moved to 5-2 on the season with a three-set sweep of Dakota County Technical College on Wednesday in Inver Grove Heights, Minn.
The Wildcats domination started from the outset, with NDSCS claiming the first two sets 25-17 and 25-19 respectively. DCTC put up a valiant effort in the decisive third set, but the Cats were able to pull out a 27-25 win.
Freshman Miah Gessell continued what has been a great start to her collegiate career with a double-double, finishing with a team-high 11 kills and 10 digs. Classmate Katie Krieger matched her for team-high honors in digs and added two service aces. Sophomore Lexi Hansch finished with 16 assists and freshman Annika Frost handed out 12.
NDSCS has now won three straight games, winning nine of their last 12 sets played. The Wildcats will now carry that momentum into conference play, as they open Mon-Dak action next week with the “Montana Swing” – visiting Miles CC and Dawson CC.
