NDSCS Ranked No. 19 in Week 3 NJCAA Poll

North Dakota State College of Science retained its nationally-ranked status, coming in at No. 19 nationally in the Week 3 NJCAA D2 Top 20 Poll, released earlier this week.

The Wildcats are 5-3 this season after having its three-game winning streak snapped on Tuesday night at Miles CC in five sets.

Defending national champion Coffeyville is the No. 1 team in the nation after an undefeated start through 10 games, edging reigning runner-up Parkland (IL) by five points. Coffeyville received six of the seven first-place votes, with the other going to Parkland. Johnson County (KS), Highland (KS) and Catawba Valley (NC) round out the top five.

NDSCS has split a pair of top-20 matchups this season, beating No. 8 Kirkwood and losing to No. 17 Central.

Freshman Katie Krieger ranks 11th nationally in digs per set (6.19) and classmate Ally Gruber ranks 12th nationally in blocks per set (1.29). Sophomore Gabby Hahn ranks 17th nationally in kills per set (3.61).

The Wildcats are visiting Dawson CC tonight, but will return to Wahpeton this weekend for the NDSCS Invitational where they'll play host in four games, including a tilt with No. 14 Iowa Central on Sep. 14.
