The North Dakota State College of Science men’s basketball team will take a 24-6 regular-season record into Wednesday’s 7 p.m. NJCAA Region 13 tournament opening-round game when it hosts Bismarck State College.
“This is a special group of student-athletes,” said Science head coach Stu Engen, who posted his 400th career victory this season and guided the Wildcats to a Mon-Dak Conference championship. “The chemistry is truly special which I can only attribute to young men who are smart enough to understand what it takes to play the game at their highest level.”
The Region 13 championship will be held Sunday at the highest-remaining seed.
